How should I be prepared for a hairstyle appointment? When you visit Hair by Misty Rose, wear your hair the way you usually would. This allows me to analyze the texture of your hair and provides a clear picture of what needs to be done to improve its quality. If you’ve booked a color appointment, please come to the salon with your hair freshly shampooed the night before. If your hair is excessively oily, it’s best to wash it before your appointment. If you’re getting a haircut, consider creating a Pinterest board or saving pictures of your favorite hairstyles, as this helps us make the best suggestions for you!

What should I do to maintain my hair color at home?I advise my clients to treat their hair weekly with a heavy-duty mask/treatment along side the right shampoo and conditoner. Take a break from heat tools and wear your natural texture to allow your hair time to heal. Always use heat protectants when using hot tools, lower your settings when you can and move quickly. Don’t wash hair daily and now and then try to go as long as you can between washes to give hair a break and allow hair’s natural oils to produce. YOUR ENDS ARE your most FRAGILE and weakest hair, so always PROTECT them with a nourishing Leave in moisturizer/serum/oil!!! And lastly A healthy scalp is the foundation for healthy hair, so it's a good idea to check in with yours every now and then. I like to help you monitor it. A balanced scalp should be clean, hydrated and free of irritation. If you find yourself dealing with scalp issues like inflammation, flakiness or excess hair fall, I can help you/ recommend a dermatologist or trigologist.
